"Lord, My God, Make Haste to Help Me"

“Domine, Ad Adjuvandum Me Festina” is a spirited work depicting a call for God’s help and a subsequent acknowledgement of His sovereign glory. While the choir calls out to God, the piano powerfully dramatizes the heavenly Hosts and man’s need for divine intervention.
 

 

Domine, ad adjuvandum me festina. (Lord, My God, make haste to help me.)
Gloria Patri, et Filio, Gloria Spiritu Sancto; (Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit;)
sicut erat in principio (as it was in the beginning,)
et nunc et semper, (is now and ever shall be,)
et in saecula, saeculorum, Amen. Alleluia! (world without end, Amen. Alleluia!)

Domine is a dramatic and driving piece.  A fugal/canonic style pushes through to a glorious finale as choir calls out to God... "Lord, My God, make haste to help me."
