Embers is a powerful portrayal of hope found in faith, even in the midst of disaster and devastation. Beginning quietly with a tearful melody, rays of sunlight begin to pierce choking, gray dust and smoke that veil the massive debris of newly fallen towers. As the air begins to clear, the light of God's eternal hope emerges.

Embers

Through the smoke of burning embers
And gray dust that stings our eyes,
Shines the Light that is God’s Glory,
As the morning sun does rise.

While the valley warms with sunshine,
Still cold mist lifts from the ground.
Like the birds, we sing His praises,
For Breath of life, in Him, we’ve found.

Soft orange glow of day sets colors
Upon a cool, blue sea of tears.
But rejoice with true thanksgiving
As the morning reappears.

For His Glory, Let us praise Him;
For His Kingdom, let us live!
Sing to God songs of thanksgiving,
For His Grace, which He does give.
