Sanctus

SATB div. with chamber strings, timpani, bass drum Includes: Score and ALL parts

Latin Text

(DMG3000) $TBA ea.

Sanctus is a single movement, ternary work that triumphantly declares the sovereignty of God.  The rhythmic 5/8 drive of the opening Sanctus melody with timpani, strings and chorus pushes toward a serenely angelic statement of the "Pleni Sunt Coeli" text beneath high strings, ending with a powerful and glorious "Osanna in Excelsis!"

Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus,

Dominus Deus Sabaoth.

Pleni Sunt Coeli et Terra Gloria Tua.

Osanna in Excelsis!

Holy, holy, holy,

Lord God of hosts.

Heaven and earth are filled with thy glory.

Hosanna in the highest!
